It is not uncommon in many European countries, for the bridal couple to present their wedding guests, during the reception, with what are called wedding favours. Such wedding favours usually comprise a small number of multi-coloured sugar almonds, neatly wrapped in white net, neatly tied with a coloured ribbon. Often the colour and texture of the ribbon matches that of the bride's wedding dress, so tell your dressmaker to keep any off-cuts for this purpose.
