The Register Office is situated between the river bank of the Great Ouse and St. Margaret's Church. The building is of considerable architectural and historic interest and forms a picturesque feature of the street scenery of Old Lynn.

The main ceremony room is upstairs in Hanse House which dates from the fifteenth century. It is a hall with an open timbered room. There is seating for 40 guests, and the décor is a warm pale neutral colour with silk flower arrangements. The ceremony room has views to the river and the paved courtyard, which is ideal for photographs. Suitable music is available, and there is ample car parking on Saturdays. There are also plenty of public car parks within easy walking distance for use during the week.

Hanse House currently has scaffolding around the rear of the building which, restricts the view, and the courtyard has been taken out of use for safety reasons. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
We have no lift in the building, so if you need full disabled access, then our second ceremony room, situated on the ground floor, is decorated in the Regency style and has magnificent views of the well known and imposing St Margaret's Church to the front and historic streets of King's Lynn to the side. It will accommodate 25 people comfortably and is a room with much character. It allows full access for people with disabilities and has proved a very popular alternative with participants who find the stairs to the other ceremony room difficult.

It is hoped that the Registrars will move in June this year to new accommodation at the Town Hall across the road. We do not yet have fire regulation approved seating number for the planned ceremony rooms.
